Our project
Recently, many Italian SMEs have digitized their production facilities by connecting their machinery to management systems. It has therefore become crucial to ensure the operational continuity of the company’s server infrastructure, which can operate either as a standalone system or in conjunction with cloud-based systems using a hybrid model.
AXOL Server has deep roots in Ivrea (Turin), the very place where, in 1959, the research team led by Mario Tchou created the ELEA 9003, the world’s first transistor-based mainframe, and six years later, Pier Giorgio Perotto’s team created the Programma 101, the world’s first desktop computer, used by NASA, among others, to calculate the elliptical orbits that enabled the Apollo 11 moon landing in 1969.
Inspired by the places frequented by these visionary minds, following in the footsteps of Adriano Olivetti, the specialists at AXOL Server carefully assemble and configure each individual cluster according to the customer’s specific needs.
No AXOL cluster leaves the factory without undergoing an intensive stress test lasting 24 to 72 consecutive hours, during which performance, operating temperatures, system stability, and other parameters are measured to ensure absolute reliability once installed in the customer’s data center or in AXOL’s Rating 4 data center, powered exclusively by renewable energy.

The Axolotl
The AXOL Server brand draws inspiration from the incredible regenerative abilities of axolotls, amphibians capable of regenerating limbs and even organs, such as parts of the heart, eyes, and brain, in the event of injury, restoring them to full functionality. This characteristic reflects the resilience and fault tolerance that define the architecture of AXOL clusters.
Server clusters
When configured as a cluster, AXOL servers provide high resilience even if one of the nodes experiences a failure. The faulty component can be replaced while systems remain online and services continue to operate through automatic failover. Much like the axolotl’s regenerative ability, the architecture is designed to restore full operation with minimal disruption.
