Have you ever wondered what it takes to run a data center like CERN\u2019s? Imagine a facility with over 12,000 active servers, designed to process enormous volumes of scientific data and ensure critical operational continuity. But how much does it cost to keep such an advanced and complex infrastructure up and running? <\/p>\n\n

Each cluster in this data center is meticulously configured: low-density CPUs, at least 512 GB of RAM per server, and Ceph storage with triple redundancy to ensure high performance and reliability. In terms of investment, estimates range from 65 to 70 million euros for hardware alone, not including installation, monitoring, and ongoing maintenance. <\/p>\n\n
